Adult and Family Services

WHO WE SERVE: Adults 18 years and older.

Today, adults face greater challenges and problems than ever before that often disrupt their quality of life. Difficulties and stress affect everyone’s ability to cope and manage day-to-day needs; talking with someone who understands can help. The Brien Center’s caring, trained staff is sensitive to each individual’s unique circumstances, and works with them to improve their quality of life. There is hope for people struggling with behavioral health problems to recover with appropriate treatment and support.

The Brien Center is here to help adults and their families cope with the impact mental health and substance use disorders can have on their lives. We provide comprehensive, integrated, and culturally competent counseling, psychotherapy and psychiatric services for individuals and families, helping them succeed at work, at home, in relationships, and most importantly, to live balanced lives. We help people manage stress, improve their sense of well-being and contentment, turn negative thinking into positive, and avoid emotional crises.

Insurances Accepted – The Brien Center is an approved provider for most public and private health insurance plans. A sliding fee scale is offered for those who have no health insurance.

The Brien Center provides individual, couples/family, and group therapy; psychopharmacology evaluations and medication management; and psychological testing. Interventions are provided through a person-centered approach that empowers the people and families we serve in co-creating with their provider the course of clinical assessment, interventions, and progress of therapy.

All Brien Center outpatient services are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Department of Public Health and the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services and are immediately accessible. Services are provided based on each client’s need and preferences.
