Engaged by the Board to determine a long-term strategy for the $40MM provider of services to the developmentally disabled, from community-based service up to and including 24/7 residential programs, and the viability of the Company remaining an independent entity based in Western Massachusetts.
- Key focus areas were improving the people/talent in the organization, efficiency and process and systems as well as the quality and compliance of care to the individuals we served. Instilled and ensured cultural adaptation of key principles regarding the individuals we served, the colleagues who worked for the organization and the communities we served, the individuals and their families, the agencies that funded Pathlight, (largely DDS) and the donors.
- Built out good governance from the board through the executive team including good financial management and oversight practices.
- Ultimately, recommended and engineered a successful merger with a larger more diverse organization without compromise to any of the Company’s programs or the individuals they served, and without any systemic layoffs that would have compromised the employees of the Company.
Aquestive Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AQST), Warren, NJ
The global leader in pharmaceutical film technology and products providing over 4 billion doses of various medications world-wide.
Chief Executive Officer & Member of Board of Directors 2014 – 2022
- Built the global leader in pharmaceutical film. Recruited over 300 professionals in a fully integrated pharma company including R&D, product development, corporate development, manufacturing, regulatory and commercial functions
- Secured five licensed and proprietary product approvals from the FDA, another product pending decision by the FDA, and a pipeline of assets in development
- Led the development of a strategic intellectual property portfolio of over 200 patents globally. Named inventor on three patents
- Built commercial organization, launched the first commercial proprietary product for the Company and created platform for future launches
- Created and maintained superior colleague engagement fostered by strong culture of collaboration, transparency, and communication.
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer 2006 – 2014
- Negotiated and established multiple strategic relationships, collaborations, joint ventures, and licensing deals globally that generate revenue and royalty opportunities and have to date yielded $100MM+ in monetization opportunities
- Completed multiple private equity rounds, obtained several tranches of debt financing as well as an early IPO process.

- Developed and led strategy transformation of business from a Contract Development and Manufacturing (CDMO) to a pharma product development and marketing company.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Hewlett Packard responsible for the financing and asset management of information technology.
- Led the largest multi-national, most profitable business unit within HP Financials Services and part of the startup executive team
- Led the integration of Compaq Financial Services and HP Financial Services in the Americas, post the merger of the two companies
- Delivered growth of 500 % to over a $5B portfolio, $1B in annual financing and $1B in annual revenue

- Led the largest and highest profit contributing business unit in AT&T Capital, global responsibility for financing relationships with AT&T, Lucent, and NCR.
